The mind with its word kills. When you name anything you have cut it down, says Thomas Mann. Perfection however is cold and is anything but lovable. There's nothing lovable about ice cold perfection. What is lovable is imperfection. And this gives humanity and life to the work. It is no longer a cartoon you might say that is being rendered. You name with ruthless accuracy the defects and those are exactly what is lovable and you name them with love.
