Do we have direct evidence that sunscreens reduce the risk of melanoma or skin cancer in general? That's a good question. We do have one big study that was done in Queensland. And this is the main direct evidence we have for the benefits of sunscreen against, in protecting against skin cancer. The biggest impacts were actually found for the more benign cancers and those were decreased massively by daily sunscreen use. Melanoma was decreased as well, but the effect was not as big and not as convincing.
