The Left's Paradox of Non-Belonging
Right-wing enjoyment, even though it seems like that's more primary, is actually parasitical on left-wing enjoyment because all enjoyment is joint. The right projects that non-belonging onto someone. We enjoy through attacking them and then we feel like we belong. But the, but in reality, I think they're actually partaking of the enjoyment of those they attack. And so you have a whole double identity that you do to kind of identify with both insiders and outsiders.
