There is a class mobility in capitalism, but it's overblown at the extent to which it happens. The vast majority who start in one social classn that's where they finish upik. And there's another aspect of this as well - when you put a ceiling on the level of production or the level of consumption,. Same thing which we're now seeing with climate change. If suddenly consumption goes up in one part of society, it has to go down in another part of society.
