The Importance of Studying Political Conspiracy Theories

Joe Yuzinski is an associate professor of political science at the University of Miami. He studies conspiracy theories and the people that believe them. According to Yuzinski, in the United States, about 60% of people believe that the JFK assassination was a conspiracy. What people believe affects how they vote; it pushes them toward or away from collective action.
