The Importance of Gratitude
There's some movie out recently that someone was saying why it's a conservative movie and I was like, it's like a simple plan. The great temptation is to think that there's a simple plan to sort of cut a corner,. To head them off at the path, to leave the path and take a shortcut. And we've learned some rules about how to stay on the path. It's this bourgeois morality stuff that I keep harping on. We're not going to write a character who gets pregnant and then have them have an abortion. That doesn't play well with Americans.
