Echod: There are some hard and fast rules that you can apply. You have to move into an engineering frame of mind, even if it's prototype work. I think too many of us default to the idea that everything should be asking based on what it can do. Don't make something complex until you absolutely have no choice. Let's not add complexity until we absolutely need it right? That's a design philosophy. And i agree with wes i but there's other refactoring you should be doing.
