Those who have never seen a living martian can scarcely imagine the strange horror of its appearance. There was something fungoid in the oily brown skin, something in the clumsy deliberation of the tedious movements, unspeakably nasty. Even at this first encounter, i was overcome with disgust and dread. Oh, wonderful descriptive language. Let me just go through some of those things again. I've talked about the absence of brow ridges, a quivering of its mouth. The gorgons were mythical creatures with snakes for heads. So they have gorgon, groups of tentacles. Er mgoodness.
