Incest and Freud

Jung had a dramatic falling out with his mentor, Edmund Freud. In the field of psychology at the time, Freud was considered untouchable. After years of friendship and respect, Jung could not stay silent any longer. He thought Freud was too fixated on sexuality as the cause of all neurosis. Also suspected that Freud's concept of the unconscious did not go deep enough. And one final element that Jung could not tolerate about Freud, he was utterly cynical about human nature.
