Is There a Prostitution Area in Amsterdam?

In Holland, we accept that it happens to women, almost naked women, by men who have fun. It's humiliating not only for the women behind the windows, but for all Amsterdamers. Parents take their daughters to see prostitutes. I think Amsterdam is the only city where this happens. And then my next question is, and why here?
