In 1965 we discovered the North Vietnamese had a real army and They were very good much better than anybody thought at the time. Over the next few years that mean you could place them probably in the top four in the world in terms of armies Plus we were fighting in their backyard. Their biggest disadvantage was they didn't have the technology that we did or air superiority. And just a lot of things they didn’t have that held them back or it would have been much worse than it was.
