The History of Gun Control in the United States

I don't understand why perfectly law abiding citizens who don't have a criminal history are so fearful that an assault rifle ban or some type of regulation even would affect them. If we were ever to be restrictive in a time with something, it should be a deadly weapon. And again, those people who still pass the background checks and all that, y'all going to keep your guns like I don't see why not. This is quite literally life and death. So if we can, if we can do everything in our power as leaders of this nation to prevent people from dying, I don'tsee why not.
