Jim Cevallos: I've been an operating partner for two decades. Historically it was, you know, call it, the venture guys call it executive in residence. He says these were typically part-time positions that paid them a little money on a sort of 1099 basis. But they did some work directly at a portfolio company or two over time, but those were mostly visit right up a report.
