The Ptolemaic Model
The ptolemaic model is an improvement on aristotle's system. Aristotle articulated a good overall system that explained things, but he didn't provide lots of detailed calculations to predict the motions of the planets. In 15 forty three, polish scholar nicholas copernicus published a book called on the revolutions of the celestial spheres. This brought about what is known as the copernican revolution and it was one of the early events in the scientific revolution.
