I think it's probably factually a broadly accurate statement and I get why that is a criticism. It's also worth noting that this article doesn't note that Vasquez vetoed a gay marriage bill because Pepe wasn't power. Because he's an authoritarian. And also he believes that he should be able to do what he wants. None of this is simple. But it's all I think maybe if you want to engage with it even a little more nuanced.
