The Future Black Thought Rapper, What Was Your Dream?
Tariq: The first time I remember writing music, it was for my father. He wanted me to be a drummer and write the songs for my sister. And he put her in school to learn the keys twice a week but she hated it. So over time we just gave up on it. But later in my teen years, like 17, 18, I started writing again. That was my first song. When you write freestyle, right off your head? You know what I mean? Everything that I do is stream of consciousness. Whether it's written or not.
