The Associative System Is a System Over Which We Have No Control
The law of least effort is really a fundamental psychological principle. When there are alternative ways of doing something, we tend to gravitate for the way that minimizes effort. Some people are much lazier than other people in the way they think. The basic mechanism is that a suggested answer pops up from the associative system,. From what I call system one thinking. And in most cases, the suggestion is endorsed.
