I don't think you can say that Russia will ever win this war. I mean strategically it's lost. But the question is what does the nature of Ukrainian victory come to look like? In some senses there may be a fact that the Kiev administration is still there. The country is still fighting. That is a success compared to where we were exactly a year ago, where many people expected Kiev to fall. Between surviving and actually winning and pushing the Russians out of the country was a big gap.
