I think Arthur Hiller is the third leg of the tripod holding up the hospital between Chayevsky, George C. Scott and Arthur Hiller. I feel like I'm the only person who loves that movie, which was Man of La Mancha. Peter O'Toole is absolutely perfect in it. He's like eating a donut and drinking a cup of coffee and reading... Drinking variety and it looks like fucking Don Quixote. The way he dramatized it, the way he was able to pull off those immense takes with his actors hundreds of dialogue pages.
