Ezekiel's Purpose
Ezekiel is a famous book for, again, being asked or commanded to do unusual things. He was in fact married, but his wife dies in the course of his ministry. Some of the crazy things he's supposed to do are actually going to telegraph events that are happening back in Jerusalem. The Bible dictionary has this line in it about in its entry on Ezekiel: "Legend says that he is Ezekiel"
