The Rise of True Crime Content

Despite how deeply our lives are affected by consternation true crime content is more popular than ever. Almost half of podcast listeners listened to true crime in the past month which was up from 30% the year before. Women increased their listening of true crime by 15%. Zara says it must be a thing about control we are taught from a really young age to live in fear that things might happen after dark or during the day and I wonder if we listen to this stuff in order to hear what other women go through so as a strange misguided way to protect ourselves if that ever happens.
