The Paradox of Attraction and Pleasure
When I talk about things being enjoyable, I'm not about the object. Now we have to get into criteria that will help us distinguish things that are simply perfect. This is one of a number of criteria that he's going to develop as a response to the paradox section. If there's a peach in front of you and what you desire to do with it is to eat it, then any peach of equal quality will do. You just want a peach. But if you're interested in the peach aesthetically, or if it's a girl named peach, it doesn't become substitutable in the same way.
