The Life of Itz Cotel
Itz coatel was a noble in the court of the mexican king, chimal popoca. His name meant obsidian serpent, and it would prove fitting to his character. At this time, the tepanek people still ruled the valley of mexico. They had a powerful army supp ed with fighting men by over forty cities. Their capital city of askapu salko controlled the shore of the lake. And any time the aqueduct broke, its people needed permission to bring in new materials for rebuilding.
