The Differences Between Biomimicry and Biomorphic Design
Biomimicry is about understanding principles from biology and using those to develop solutions. In biological structures, you can find examples of five and sometimes even eight levels of hierarchy. But in conventional human-made structures, it's very rare that you find examples going beyond one level of hierarchy. So for me, it's not at all about copying shapes from nature. I'd call that biomorphic design.
