Adding a Ninth to a Six Chord Leads to Two Chords, Right?

There's a major third in the dominant seventh chord, so we can't really just play a C711. However, you can look at it slightly differently and say "I'm playing in the key of C" You can also use a thirteenth on a dominant seventh chord. So far the same as the major seventh chord. These are extensions that we can use.
