Is It a Good Choice for Open Source?

Swift doesn't have the obviously runtime. It has a G-lib C module for most of the links that see Landers, Linux C standard library. So one area that Swift might do well in is if somebody made like a Linux UI layer for it. You know, you have the advantage of not kind of being screwed by this. Well, I think the Apache 2.0 licensing is an interesting choice by Apple. And I think it's probably a good choice if they want to get big commercial companies to be touching.
