
U.S. Coast Guard: Titanic-bound submersible suffered “catastrophic implosion”

Introduction
An ROV or remote operated vehicle from the vessel Horizon Artic discovered the tail cone of the tightened submersible approximately 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic on the sea floor. The debris is consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber. And that, the rear admiral said, caused Titan to implode the remote operating vehicle, which located the Titan had sonar on it, arms and a camera.
