I don't know if it's a conservative show. Well, although Kevin Costner was wearing a Liz Cheney t-shirt,. which is sort of makes him conservative. If you really analyze it, it is a story of white grievance and what white people get to hold on to as America changes. You have this white family who has this land. Gentrification wants it. Corporations want it. Climate activists want them to get off of it. Native people want that land back. And with that as a metaphor, it's about our politics right now and white grievance. So watching it through that lens now, I find incredibly captivating.
Sam Sanders (of Vulture's podcast "Into It") joins Kara to discuss the politics of Yellowstone, the return of MoviePass, and HBO's big win with "House of the Dragon."
