LZ Granderson is a professor of English at the city university of New York. He specializes in 19th century literature, and we're thinking here friends about like Dracula,. And war of the world and, and many other stories. LZ: I think there's a lot of people out there who use Victorian at like cocktail parties, and they really have no idea what they're talking about so just like give us like a 30 second around that. The best way I can describe it is a useful shorthand for describing a really varied era in British history. It literally denotes the reign of Queen Victoria.
