The Bridge Collapse
Sergeant Jenna Mendez of the Sweetwater Police saw the bridge collapse while stopped at a red light one intersection away. She rushed to the scene and found multiple construction workers atop the pile. Sergeant Mendez performed CPR while screaming instructions to bystanders over the incessant malfunctioning car horns squawking from the rubble. More than 100 firefighters, police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene.
