Canadian Civil War

There was never a point when it appeared that the countries were on the brink of war. There were some territorial disputes, but nothing to major. The american civil war breaks out, and immediately european countries, including britain, are confronted with the issue of how to preserve neutrality. But there is also a linger in dislike of the united states, now represented by the north. And this faction will always support any measure designed to strengthen the military protection they have against us.
