The White Protest Movement Grew to Fetishize Black People
The white protest movement was always coming from a somewhat different place. The root of their protest was not political, but cultural. They began to valorize rebellion against the system in whatever form they found it. Over the course of the 19 sixties, the white protest movement grew to fetishize black people as born revolutionaries. It was a tendency that you can identify at least as early as soctor's prefance preface to the 61 edition of franz fenan's book, the wretched of the earth.
