The anxiety got her attention rather than the story did. She would fumble around like I don't know what you want me to say. After we would read something she would just model narrating instead of asking them for a narration. It seems like that opened up a the conversation in a way that being put on the spot maybe didn't and I feel like maybe that was sort of a way to get in on the side of the anxiety.
