The Pirates of Madagascar

There were many sailors, not just pirates, who were shipwrecked on the coast of madagascar. One of them was robert drury, and he kept journal, which is one of the few written to depictions of life in southern mad Madagascar in the eighteenth century. They sometimes called madagascar the island of the moon, like it was the last undiscovered place on earth, and so strange in terms of animal life and thcology and all that.
