Ranow: It does take time to do these studies, and often youre not comparing apples with apples. There's a thousand different variables that can change why they might have different responses. But it's definitely the case that additional doses, boosters, will lead to improved antibody responses.

People that have recovered from COVID are seeing stronger immune responses after vaccination than those that never contracted the virus. Researchers are now racing to unpick what is behind this powerful 'hybrid immunity'.
