Is There a Loss of Moral Fiber in the Air Force?

In the RAF, there's a legend of a thing called LMF, lack of moral fiber. If you can't cope anymore with flying, if you're not prepared for it, you'll be declared that you have a lack ofmoral fiber and kicked out of the unit. The story is that you are paraded, you have your badges cut off for the razor and sent on your way in disgrace. And what's interesting though is it seems that never happened. It's a legend, a sort of meme that took hold of people's imaginations within bomber command to keep people together.
