The statute of limitations varies from country to country and state to state. Here in the United States, a civil claim must be made usually within one or two years. In Pennsylvania, a charge like felony aggravated indecent assault has only a 12 year statute of limitations. That almost gave Bill Cosby a get out of jail free card.
