"I usually ask myself, why? Why am I sitting here stuck?" she says. "If you don't get that permission or feel that permission, you'll be blocked" Writer's block is fear of failure and not pleasing the people who've hired her to write a book. It's okay to write bad stuff in front of other people if it helps them understand your character.
