Pelvic pelvic health specialists think that lifting heavy especially with a belt while doing the valsalva maneuver is actually bad for your pelvic floor muscles and increases your rates of incontinence so i whatever i'll wade into it i don't think that's true. The other perspective is that you can still lift heavy but it's better if you don't use the vals alva maneuver maybe don't use a belt but brace in a way that as you're tensing the muscles if you're abdominal wall you're also like tensing and pulling kind of up and in on your pelvicfloor muscles.
