Doing the Right Thing, Even When No One Is Watching

You write that ethical behavior is doing the right thing when no one else is watching. What made you decide to end the book this way? "I think we're all complicit, you know, in this society one way or another" I'm hopeful that we can still turn it around in time to enjoy a sandwich in another 50 years.
