The Effects of Ground Reaction Forces on Bone Loads

Chris Zelek: Ground reaction forces may be, as you mentioned, but the internal tissue loads may be a whole lot higher. They cited six to 14 times body weight from memory, for example, the shin bone, the tibia. So what you have to appreciate is that also your muscles are attached to those bone structures as well. Some tissues are going to, you know, these forces are going to be magnified a significant amount than others.
