Young Age Creationism and the ASA
The ASA is older than the Creation Research Society and there's a good reason for that. The organizers of the American Scientific Affiliation did not feel, even though it was an organization for Christian people who happened to be scientists, they did not feel that it was important for them to take a hard stand on the age of the earth. And so individuals like Henry Morris and other creationists at the time became increasingly dissatisfied at the sort of critical stance that various ASA members were taking on young age creationism. Today as we'll see here the ASA still continue to do this, they maintain that they do not have a position on the Age of the Earth.
