I was like, well, it doesn't really cost that much to start a newsletter. So not very capital intensive. I wrote for the high school newspaper. The other thing is like pickleball is most of it to this day is very stale and marketing isn't very fun. And then pickleball was like, no, my dad had just built a cord. My grandpa and grandma were obsessed with it. As we all got older, we kind of transitioned to pickleball just easier on the body.

How did Thomas Shields go from writing a small pickleball newsletter with nothing more than a MailChimp account, a “shitty” website, and a few Facebook subscribers to creating a comprehensive sports channel where 50% of its partners are inbound advertisers?
