The Role of Money in Politics

The role of money in our politics gives people the opportunity to compete without having to think they have to be one of the 435 congressmen. So that part, I think, rings true. What I would have to see worked out is why this leads to political instability. It might lead to firms in some industries being able to do the equivalent of bribing congressmen through political contributions. Lots of bad policies can ensue. I can see that quickly. But why this would lead to political instability isn't clear to me.
