Do You Not Know Brothers and Sisters?

Paul: The law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives. Paul says when a woman is married, she's bound to her husband legally. But when that husband dies, she is no longer legally bound. In the very similar fashion to this taskmaster analogy, Paul says that old husband we were married to is now dead. We are not bound to him anymore. And so now we come to one of these famous passages we often use to explain some of those assumptions we've been questioning throughout this series on Romans.
