The Relationship Between God and Human Beings
There's dual authorship. God is not the author in the same exact sense, they're related but distinct meanings of the word author. We can understand the relationship if we draw on Thomistic philosophy a little bit. There's this principle in Thomistic philosophy called instrumental causality that God can use a human being as an instrument. So we have God as the author of scripture. We have human beings as the authors of scripture.
