George Saunders Is the New Modern MFA Master for Good or for Ill
I get the feeling that sort of the primacy of Raymond Carver as the master of the short story has sort of been replaced by George Saunders a little bit. And I wonder what, I wonder how he feels about Saunders. He just seems like it's got hanging out at the University of Syracuse. Like all of his, he seems to have the correct politics. His stories are pretty adventurous in some ways, but they're not too adventurous. But he's not Raymond Carver.
