The Importance of Rational Action

I want to find out if I understand your position correctly in one respect. Is your claim that whether an action is rational or not is a one or zero? In other words, it either is or it isn't. Or is your claim that there's degrees of rationality? And this leads into my alternative position because if you think that there are not degrees, then that's why all these cases are coming up. Any action justified on the basis of hope or faith might still have some degree of rationality but it might be a lower degree of rationality than an action that's based on beliefs.
