The History of the Locomotive

The first locomotive ran on September 27th, 1825. It reportedly took about two hours to travel a grand total of 8.7 miles. Eventually that thought would evolve into the philosophy behind various amusement rides. Some were more geared toward thrills, you know, having a locomotive pull you up a hill and then coast down the hill afterward.
