Female Chimpanzees - A Feminist Revolution

Female chimpenzes bear an incredible burden of aggression from males. But there is a trade off for putting up with all this aggression, because males also maintain territories. Males of other territorial groups will form what researchers call border patrols. This behaviour has been observed in a few cases to just go on so intensely and frequently that it resulted in the extermination of a neighboring champanzee group.
